Introductory Workshop in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes

1-day workshop at the Metanoia Institute gives participants the opportunity to explore the personal and professional qualities involved in the practice of Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes.

This workshop day is open to writers who are interested in supporting others to write, and practitioners in the healthcare or caring professions who are curious about bringing writing into their practice.

 

DATE:

This workshop will be held on Saturday 13th May 2017, 11am – 5pm at Engineer's House in Bristol,  with Fiona Hamilton, Graham Hartill and Claire Williamson.

 

 

Participants will be invited to engage in creative writing exercises and also to respond to their experience in plenary sessions with peers and tutors.


Information will also be provided to contextualise the field of Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes and how it is developing within national arts and health directives.


Attending an introductory workshop day is recommended for students applying for the MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes; it is also open to writers and practitioners in the healthcare or caring professions who are curious about the field.



The cost for the workshop is £75.
