On 7th July Andrew Lansley, Secretary of State for Health, announced in a speech entitled ‘A new approach to public health’, that food and drink companies will be asked to fund the government's campaigns to persuade people to adopt healthier lifestyles and suggested that the industry, in return, will not face a regulatory response from government.

Public Health: Promoting Health and the Challenges Ahead presents an ideal opportunity to discuss this issue and other issues, and offers delegates the chance to hear from leading experts on the current and emerging challenges and how they can be overcome. Read more

In the 21st Century the link between those that are economically disadvantaged and poor health still exists. How can this be eradicated?

Expert speakers will discuss the delivery of public health initiatives and their impact on the population, and analyse the strategies most likely to produce the desired results, culminating in a panel debate providing a forum for energetic dialogue and communication of insight from across the sector.
